Banton Island is a rocky volcanic island situated in the Maghali Island Group of Romblon Province, around 7-12 hours south of Manila. This island municipality of more than 6,000 people is surrounded by the Sibuyan Sea which boasts one of the most preserved marine life in the Philippines.
The island was originally named Batoon due to its rocky coastline and topography. Prior to the arrival of the Spanish, an ancient civilization has already existed in the island as suggested by the various artifacts recovered from the island’s caves in 1936. One of the artifacts is a boat coffin with a well-preserved mummy and burial cloth. The burial cloth is reportedly the oldest in Southeast Asia.
Trinidad (“Trinity” in Spanish) is the larger and more populous of the two major islands and numerous landforms which make up the country of Trinidad and Tobago. It is the southernmost island in the Caribbean and lies just 11 km (7 miles) off the northeastern coast of Venezuela. With an area of 4,768 km² (1,864 sq. mi.) it is also the sixth largest in the West Indies. It is commonly believed that the original name for the island in the Arawak language was “Iëre” which meant “Land of the Humming Bird”. Christopher Columbus renamed it “La Isla de la Trinidad” (“The Island of the Trinity”), fulfilling a vow he had made before setting out on his third voyage of exploration.
Trinidad is a Caribbean Island but different from all other Caribbean Islands. Its nature is not like Tobago, being a tropical hideaway surrounded by golden sand and calm blue waters. Trinidad has it’s own spectacular beauty in its wild dramatic hills, it’s rugged beaches, it’s planes and mysterious wetlands, and it’s teeming wildlife.
Home to one of the oldest dive operations in The Bahamas, Long Island has numerous shallow and deep dive sites, but is best known for Dean’s Blue Hole, the deepest recorded blue hole in The Bahamas (more than 600 feet). The western shoreline of the 80-mile-long island has soft sandy beaches capped with rich green mangroves. With the Atlantic Ocean on the east, Long Island is a haven for fishing, sailing and yachting in The Bahamas Out Islands.

A towering spine of ancient reef gives 80-mile Long Island, Bahamas, two faces: the dramatic cliffs and caves of the east coast that front the crashing Atlantic waves, and the soft, sandy edged lee side which slides calmly into the Bahamas Bank. Shark diving, vast schools of fish around towering coral bommies and the spectacular wall of nearby Conception Island (a national park) are serious draws for scuba diving enthusiasts, while the angling for both bonefish and big pelagics is enough to keep any fisherman thrilled.
Pitt Island or Rangiauria is the second largest island in the Chatham Islands, originally known as Rekohu. Pitt Island lies 12 miles (20 km) to the southeast of its larger neighbour, Chatham Island, from which it is separated by Pitt Strait. It covers an area of 24 square miles (62 km2), and has a population of about 45 people. Pitt Island is very hilly and its highest point (Waihere Head) rises to 241 metres (791 ft) above sea level.
